Principal,
Burdekin Christian College
Burdekin Christian College Inc seeks the services of an experienced Principal
to provide leadership of its core activities. The position reports to the Board
and is based in the Burdekin district, near Townsville, north Queensland. BCC
is an equal opportunity employer. Its vision is to provide education from a
Christian worldview. In 2012, the college will be enrolling around 100 students
in 6 classes: Prep, Year 1, Year 2, Years 3-4, Years 5-6 and Year 7. The Early
Learning Child Care Centre is licensed for 31 students. BCC has won numerous awards for its
environmental activities and its Healthy Food Shack. It is a Reef Guardian, and
Green and Healthy School. It has an
active P&F Association and is a member of Associated Christian Schools and
Independent Schools Queensland.
Specific roles
include leading a team, creating educational excellence, supporting staff,
building effective relationships with student and parent bodies, managing
financial and physical resources, planning strategically, and reporting
effectively. The new principal should be an experienced and competent teacher,
and possess suitable tertiary qualifications and leadership, organisational,
administrative and relational abilities.
